GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION
It is God’s desire that all men be saved. II Peter 3:9; I Timothy 2:3, 4
The Bible tells us that all men have fallen short of God’s desire. Romans 3:2
Because of that failure, our punishment should be eternal death. Romans 6:23
But God, in His love for us, created another way for man.
God reveals to us His plan for man’s salvation in His word.
1. We must HEAR the word of God. Acts 13:44; 28:28; Romans 10:14
2. We must BELIEVE in its power to save. Mark 16:16; Acts 8:37
3. We must REPENT or turn from our sins. Luke 13:3, 5; Acts 2:38
4. We must CONFESS our belief in Jesus as God’s Son. Acts 8:37; Matthew 10:32, 33; Luke 12:8; Romans 10:9
5. We must BE BAPTIZED for the remission of our sins. Acts 2:38, 41; 8:2, 36; 10:48; 22:16; Romans 6:3; Galatians 3;27
6. We must BE FAITHFUL to God and His word. Matthew 25:21, 23; Revelation 2:10
By submitting ourselves to God’s plan, God tells us that He will reward us eternally. John 14:1-3
